Set within the historic Paço do Curutelo estate, Vila Galé Collection Ponte de Lima Vineyards is a project where heritage, wine and contemporary hospitality intersect within a single territory. Between granite walls, vineyards and buildings with almost nine centuries of history, this heritage complex stands today as a destination for wine tourism and cultural experience in Northern Portugal.
Floema Details was invited to develop the signage systems and equipment that structure orientation, reading and spatial experience throughout the hotel, ensuring clear, elegant communication fully integrated into the architecture and the Vila Galé brand identity.

Information signs for spa area
The signage system was developed through a comprehensive wayfinding study, including needs assessment, definition of circulation flows, quantities and support typologies, ensuring intuitive orientation across all buildings and exterior areas.
Directional signage
Directional guidance is provided through Air totems and interior wayfinding plates, both produced in HPL+. These elements orient circulation between buildings, leisure areas, restaurants and services, ensuring continuity and clarity throughout the complex.
Their minimal formal language, combined with the durability of HPL+, allows seamless integration within both contemporary architecture and historic volumes.

Personalised information sign
Communication supports organize the hotel’s essential information, integrating pool information totems, interior and exterior branding plates, PMMA branding lettering, emergency plans, elevator directories, room numbering and interior identification plates.
All elements were produced in HPL+, ensuring material consistency, durability and continuous legibility across all spaces.
Equipment
Equipment developed for Vila Galé Ponte de Lima Vineyards was designed around four fundamental principles: function, mobility, materials and spatial legibility.
Each piece facilitates hotel operations while maintaining a discreet, elegant presence coherent with the historic and vineyard character of the estate.
Totems and display units
Custom menu display
Produced equipment includes portable service totems in HPL+ with acrylic pockets for agile information display, and portable menu display units in HPL+ with galvanized and painted steel.
These elements provide operational flexibility, communicative clarity and formal integration throughout the hotel.
Decorative elements
The decorative dimension was conceived as an extension of the site’s identity, reinforcing its connection to the history and essence of Paço do Curutelo and to the sensory experience associated with wine, art and heritage.

In the indoor pool area, laminated polymeric vinyl graphics were applied with messages referencing the history and identity of the estate. These elements introduce a narrative layer without compromising architectural legibility, contributing to an immersive and coherent spatial experience.

All signage, equipment and decorative elements developed by Floema Details were conceived as a unified system in which form, material and function dialogue with architecture, landscape and the Vila Galé brand.
The result is a discreet, elegant and durable language that guides, informs and accompanies the guest experience, reinforcing spatial reading and the identity of Vila Galé Collection Ponte de Lima Vineyards.
